Mary Rose Apartments, Orpington, Bromley, BR5 (Bromley Council)

Project Details

We were approached to design a New Build mix use development to replace part of the existing Grade II listed, 44 bedroom hotel that was currently on site in Orpington, Bromley. Furthermore, in addition to extended the hotel area we also proposed to provide a number new build residential units, 74 new build flats in total and 79 car parking spaces and new build commercial use at ground level. The design approach was challenging, working with a listed building and the site being divide by a viaduct however, a contemporary new build design allowed the scheme to provide larger than average, high end residential apartments within 10 minute walking proximity to St Mary Cray train station. The proposed development comprises of Block A on the south side of the viaduct with 44 proposed flats, and Block B on the north side of the viaduct comprising 30 proposed flats.
